Since inception, the IDD Science Team has demonstrated its capability to quickly taking concepts from basic science all the way through the drug discovery process and into IND filing. The incidence of diabetes has increased dramatically in the United States. According to the American Diabetes Association, over eighteen million Americans suffer from this disease and total treatment costs exceed $132 billion (USD). Worldwide, diabetes is reaching epidemic proportions: diabetes is the fourth leading cause of death in developed countries; in developing and newly industrialized countries the economic and health impact is worse. In the 21st century, diabetes will be one of the most challenging healthcare problems.  

We seek new sponsors to move into challenging areas of diabetes drug discovery with us, or to test, manufacture and market innovative drugs we have already discovered. These sponsorships are available for domestic U.S. and worldwide markets.
